The Bible deals with God's message for man, so it is only right that we ask Him to enlighten our understanding each time we read His Book. By the same token, a serious seeker after truth will, by definition, be serious about looking up all the references to ensure that truth is uncovered, rather than be content with hazy, superficial notions.
