Read the passage through at least a couple of times. There are bound
to be ideas or concepts that escape many readers the first time round,
especially if what is being read challenges the reader's prior assumptions
or beliefs.
INTERESTING-LOOKING VERSES are always worth mulling over.
Genesis 1:27 | Genesis 5:1,2 | Genesis 6:7 | Deuteronomy 4:32 |
Psalm 104:30 | Isaiah 45:12 | 1 Corinthians 11:9 |
He made and formed man out of the dust of the ground.
Genesis 1:26 | Genesis 2.22 | Psalm 100:3 | 1 Timothy 2:13 |
As to his body, it was made of the dust of the ground; as to his immaterial nature, he was made by the special inbreathing of God
Genesis 2:7 | Job 33:4,5 | Ecclesiastes 12:7 |
Now this conception of man - special creation - gives him a peculiar dignity of being and responsibility toward the One who created him, that no other theory does.
The 'Theistic Evolutionist' is a believer in God; in fact, he may even
believe in Christ and His substitutionary death for our sins, but he accommodates
the Genesis account to the theories of evolution by suggesting that Genesis
need not be interpreted literally, in which case Adam would not have been
a real person. However it must be said that no theory of evolution stands
up to the facts of science. With the passage of time the biological and
physical sciences and archaeology have only served to prove the accuracy
of Scripture and the fallacy of evolution. For a fairly quick overview
of the evidence against evolution, see "Why I Accept
The Genesis Record"(1959). You may also wish to see the extensive
range of material produced by the

Science Movement.
The following scriptures are commended to those who are tempted to
swallow the humanistic ideas behind all theories of evolution:
Matthew 19:4 | Mark 10:6 | Luke 3:38 |
Romans 5:12-14 | 1 Corinthians 11:9 | 1 Corinthians 15:21,22,45,47 |
2 Corinthians 11:3 | 1 Timothy 2:13. 14 | Jude 14 |
"In the final analysis we must choose between man having evolved by selection or man having been created by God. Whichever we choose to believe, we must accept by faith, for neither qualifies as a scientifically established fact."
I do hope you are getting into the habit of looking up every scripture
quoted. Therein lies the value in this kind of Bible Study.
Now some find it difficult to believe the story of the fall as literal
fact. Was there an Adam and Eve? Was Eve the first woman? Was Adam the
first man? Did sin come into the world by one man? The Bible authenticates
itself to the sincere seeker of truth. Read the last group of scriptures
above, and notice who is speaking each time, and what they believe.
