STUDY No. 42 - THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST on earth

Some years ago I made a rather strange discovery. I was preparing one of my study outline series - I believe it was LIFE CHANGE STUDIES - and wanted to commend two or three recent books on the life of Jesus Christ. I had read somewhere that there were more books written about the Lord Jesus Christ than any other person. I went to the local Christian book shop and asked the assistant for a selection. She said she thought she had one, but upon looking we could not find it. As we searched I noticed that there were at least a dozen books on the Charismatic Movement and at least half that number questioning it. We could not, however, find one book on the Founder and Foundation of Christianity.

I have since discovered that very few Christians have ever personally made a study of the life of their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Such a life is worthy of our careful, reverent and prayerful study. There are many different "versions" of Jesus around today and we can only find the real One in the holy Scriptures (see John 5:39).
I am merely giving you the headlines. How you read depends on how serious you are to find out the real truth. Remember Proverbs 13:4. "Getting at the truth could take a long time !" you say. Yes it will, but in the end you will know more about your Lord Jesus Christ than most Christians, and be all the better for it.
